Low Fat Diets Don’t Work!

My mother in law is absolutely paranoid when it comes to fat and cholesterol. If you mention the word eggs or butter around her, she absolutely freaks out! Seriously, she is so brainwashed by the media that she won’t listen to a word you say. She thinks that if she just doesn’t eat fat or anything with cholesterol in it that she won’t gain weight. But sadly, she continues to add the pounds on and is heavier than ever.

Why? Well the truth is that our bodies actually need fat and cholesterol to keep our metabolism in balance. When we don’t get enough fat and cholesterol from the foods we eat, our bodies think that they are being starved, and they will start to produce it themselves. Our bodies are pretty smart!

The truth is, in fact, we are overweight because we’re eating the wrong foods, the wrong types of calories per meal, and we’re also eating meals in the wrong pattern each day. Eating the right kinds of food, which include good fats and cholesterol, and eating them at the right intervals during the day can play a huge roll in weight loss.

So the next time someone says eggs or butter are a no, no, just smile! You’ll know better than that……I wish my mother in law could figure that out! Oh well, at least you know now……
